James D Richardson

Congratulations to Michael Petersen from Kingston SE Lions Club, who last week was awarded the prestigious James D. Richardson Honour Award.

Michael is the Club treasurer who goes above and beyond in his service to Lions. He is also actively involved in the Kingston RFDS and other community organisations.

The James D. Richardson Honour Award is presented to individual members in recognition of selfless service, leadership and committment. It is given by the Australian Lions Foundation to honor dedicated service and community contributions. The award is named after James D. Richardson BEM (1910–1987), an early Australian Lions leader, RAAF veteran, second District Governor in Australia (1956–1957), and the first Australian International Board Director (1958).

Michael was presented his award by Club President Steve McMaster, and Past District Governor Daryl Morley.

Thanks a lot Michael for everything you do for the Kingston community.
